Various restaurants and businesses are hosting Mother’s Day brunches and dinners throughout San Diego County. This year, some of the options include brunch buffets, a dim sum menu, a beef wellington cooking class and cruises around San Diego Bay. Here’s a roundup of possibilities for 2025.

All the listed events are on Mother’s Day weekend.

Adelaide: Pacific Ocean views on an indoor and outdoor terrace are available at Adelaide, which will serve a Mother’s Day brunch buffet at L’Auberge Del Mar. Catamaran Resort: Guests on Mother’s Day at the Catamaran Resort can get views of Mission Bay while feasting on brunch. There will also be a flower station where children can assemble bouquets for mom. City Cruises: Here’s one way to celebrate Mother’s Day along the San Diego Bay. City Cruises is hosting a brunch buffet and a dinner cruise that includes special chef-crafted meals and drinks aboard the Hornblower. Ticketed guests will cruise around the bay for approximately 2.5 hours and listen to a live DJ. The brunch buffet options include scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, French toast, potatoes, pastries, salads, salmon, strip loin, birria-style chicken and a dessert station. The dinner is a three-course meal featuring choices such as flat iron steak, Atlantic salmon, a pan-seared chicken breast, arugula salad, roasted red pepper bisque, cheesecake and pineapple upside-down cake. Students will learn how to make Ramsay’s beef wellington, get a hands-on cocktail demonstration and eat lunch featuring a beef wellington plate with a sticky toffee pudding. Hilton Bayfront: The public has multiple ways to commemorate Mother’s Day at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
