Michael J. Williams failed at dozens of trades before finally landing in journalism starting with college days at the University of Cincinnati in the mid-1970s. He now covers Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Menifee and assorted assignments for The Press-Enterprise. He worked at the Oceanside Blade-Citizen, The North (San Diego) County Times, and The Californian (Southwest Riverside County) before ing The Press-Enterprise in June 2013. He has lived in the San Diego area since 1979 and now resides in Oceanside.
